“Mom, come on.”
“This is so dumb, Mom!”
“You won’t feed me?!”
“You’re kicking me out?!?!”
The Mother’s Club is hosting their biggest fundraiser of the year on Sunday, Nov. 11. That’s right! The annual Fashion Show is just around the corner! And guess what– your Crusader seniors are modeling!
Brother Rice Mother’s Club President Maria Braschi said, “The senior moms who are participating in the fashion show have chaired many events in the last four years. Their hard work has earned them a spot to model with their sons. We hope this provides a lifetime memory as the boys finish their careers at Brother Rice.”
Now, no high school boy necessarily wants to model, so there are some mixed emotions about the upcoming show. However, some Crusaders are looking forward to the event.
“Being a model for the fashion show is a new experience for me, and I am excited. I am grateful for all my mom has done for me, and modeling with her is just one way that I can show my appreciation; we are both looking forward to this event,” said senior Tim Novick.
Aside from the show that will include students from both Brother Rice and neighboring sister school Mother McAuley, there are many other fun festivities that will take place. “The event includes a lovely luncheon, numerous basket raffles, a ‘Wine & Dine’, and ‘The Ultimate Crusader Chair Raffle’,” said Brother Rice Mother’s Club Vice President Maribeth O’Connell.
