Have you ever wanted to create easy and delicious dishes using items you can find in your kitchen pantry? If so, look no further than Cooking Class here at Brother Rice.
Cooking Class at Brother Rice is one of the best ways for students to learn how to make easy dishes from scratch, a very valuable life skill.
Students can expect to create many dishes that are easy to cook yet delicious to eat. Brother Hayes, moderator of the Cooking Class, spoke about the types of dishes they make. Bro said, “Over the years, we’ve made lots of different things…we’ve made Italian dishes, breakfast items, chicken parmesan, barbecued items, and soup.”
However, apple pie stands alone as the most popular dish. Bro said, “The students really like making apple pie. Apple pie is by far the students’ favorite.”
The students are appreciative of Bro’s help in the kitchen. “Bro Hayes is a great teacher. He makes sure you learn everything you need to. He also has a great balance between helping someone out if they are having trouble and letting the kids work hands-on and make the food themselves,” said senior Jack Clisham.
Apart from learning about cooking, students have a good time and enjoy their tasty creations at the end of each class. Senior Jimmy Calcagno said, “Participating in Cooking Class is the highlight of each month. Bro teaches us how to cook various foods like bread and apple pie from scratch. The best part is enjoying the delicious food we make with each other.”
Each Cooking Class has 15 available spots, so any student interested in joining should sign up as soon as the class date is announced.
